Our staff have undergone training in basic BSL, and we’re proud to offer an environment where everyone feels welcomed and understood.

Learn Basic BSL Phrases
Start with simple phrases like “Hello,” “Thank you,” and “How are you?” These small steps can make a big difference in connecting with Deaf individuals. At Wellington Square, our staff are happy to demonstrate these phrases and help you practice.

Watch BSL Videos and Tutorials
If you can’t make it to the centre, why not spend some time watching BSL videos online? There are plenty of resources available, from beginner tutorials to more advanced lessons. Click here for our favourite channel.

Spread Awareness
Use your platforms to share what you’ve learned about BSL. Post about the importance of BSL Day and share videos of your new signing skills. The more people know about BSL, the more inclusive our communities will become.
