MFC FOUNDATION’S mission is simple – they work to inspire hope and confidence, and improve the life chances of young people and adults across Teesside.
Working in some of the most disadvantaged areas of Teesside, the charity engages with those who are hard to reach through the delivery of inspiring sport, education, health and inclusion projects.
MFC Foundation was one of the very first football club charities and was set up by Middlesbrough Football Club Chairman Steve Gibson. Mr Gibson’s vision was to use the power of the Football Club badge to engage young people from the local community.
By using the power and influence of Middlesbrough Football Club they deliver bespoke programmes providing opportunities to raise aspirations and improve the life chances of our people across local communities.
At Wellington Square we have chosen MFC Foundation as our charity of the year due their ongoing work to unite and empower communities.
Providing football and multi-sport physical activity opportunities for young people and adults, they go across a wide range of communities to ensure people of all backgrounds take part.
We can’t wait to get involved with MFC Foundation to help them reach new audiences in Stockton-on-Tees so please keep a lookout for community events!
