STOCKTON-ON-TEES Employment Hub launched its first SIA course with People Plus this year.
The team invited Tony Norris, Dual Services Manager at Wellington Square, to drop in and talk about his work experience in the security sector.
Tony said: “It’s fantastic that the Employment Hub and Wellington Square can collaborate together on a project like this. It was great to meet the bright minds inspired to keep our Borough a safe and welcoming place.”
At the end of the course, all of the candidates passed their exams, with many gaining employment and one of the cohort, Musa Sule, gaining a Security Officer role to work alongside Tony.
Tony added: “Following my invitation to talk to the cohort, Musa really stood out as you could see he was passionate about the role, and he is already a great asset to the team and the Wellington Square community.”
Musa said: “I was unemployed last year and came to the Hub, where I was asked to submit my CV. From there, I was called in to an interview and was successful – and I am very, very grateful for the opportunity.”
